A liberal amount of water should be used behind the film to make installation easier and help in removing air bubbles.
The exception to this is the adhesive privacy material since the adhesive is water soluble so use water a little more sparingly.
It’s very important to squeegee out as much excess water as possible once the film is installed so that the film won’t release later on, any remaining excess water left behind should evaporate in time, generally 24-48 hours.
Window film installation may look imperfect until water fully evaporates. If installed properly no large air bubbles should remain. Try to use a rubber squeegee if possible so as not to scratch the film when installing or cover your squeegee with a soft cloth to prevent scratches. You can also protect the window film surface with a piece of freezer paper or the backing paper when installing since when the window film is first received it will be more delicate until it has time to fully cure.
Unpack the film and allow the film to lay flat for 24 hours.
